Through our people, our technology and our passion for innovation we look to make a difference where we live and work.

Commitment to Operational Excellence

At CNSI, we achieve and maintain a wide variety of industry certifications to support our expertise. A few of our certifications are listed below.
  • Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Assessed

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Assessed

Achieving operational excellence is more important than ever as organizations are under increasing pressure to consistently deliver efficient performance. Clients expect organizations to optimize business processes and deliver on schedule and on budget with high-quality results. Doing more with less and consistently delivering “best value” is now more important than ever.

CNSI’s Health and Human Services business was assessed at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Institute Maturity Level 3 on May 5, 2014 by an independent appraiser. An appraisal at Maturity Level 3 indicates CNSI is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, our processes are validated as “well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods.” Our set of standard processes, which is the basis for Maturity Level 3, is established and improved over time. At this “defined” level, our clients are reassured that CNSI is committed to operational excellence and exceeding our customers’ expectations.

Smooth project initiation and execution, an easier learning curve for employees, early detection of issues in projects and on-time and on-budget delivery of projects are all benefits of having a standard set of processes. Process maturity also implies that the organization is committed to continuous improvement which eventually results in greater efficiency and reduced costs, ultimately benefiting clients. Many of CNSI’s clients, including the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Census Bureau and State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene have benefited from CNSI’s process improvement initiatives.
