  • Work under direction from the manager or lead.
  • Conduct meetings and discussions with customer and able to demonstrate appropriate and effective use of technology to meet customer needs.
  • Provide solution by collecting, documenting and analyzing information concerning system related business processes and information technologies.
  • Functional understanding of concepts relating to the design and development of software applications.
  • Lead software development team of 4 – 7.
  • Responsible for creating Graphical user interface utilizing GUI tools like Dreamweaver.
  • Responsible for designing and writing J2EE compliant code utilizing standard IDE's.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure the code written complies with the company standards and policies.
  • Write Java/XML/PLSQL/SQL code to meet the requirements and maintain coding standards.
  • Lead the delivery, production and operational readiness of systems
  • Continue enhancing own technical and functional skills on new practices, frameworks and standards.


Required Skill

Primary Skills

  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Must have 7-10 plus years of JAVA software development experience and minimum 2 plus years of team lead experience in development and design of enterprise applications.
  • Must have 4-6 years of object oriented programming; 4+ years J2EE, Java Servlets, JSP, JSP Tags, EJB, JMS and Java design patterns.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS & JavaScript.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL database programming (Creating procedures/triggers).
  • Should have worked on at least 2 database intensive JAVA application projects.
  • Must have at least 3 years of client interaction skills in support of formal requirements gathering sessions, as well as informal requirements session.
  • Experience in creating Use Cases, Process & Activity Diagram using UML tools.
  • Experience contributing to and managing the planning and execution activities for the following SDLC phases:
    • Systems analysis and requirements definition
    • Functional systems design
    • Integration and functional verification
    • Validation, installation and deployment
    • Maintenance and operation support
  • Should have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Secondary Skills

• Experience in a healthcare/insurance project is preferred

• Knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions; 270/271, 834, 276/277, 837

• Experience with Health Insurance Exchange or Medicaid projects highly preferred

• Experience with State government projects is preferred;

• Agile/Iterative development experience preferred.

• Knowledgeable with Rational Unified Process (RUP)

• Experience with Rule Engine

• Knowledge of AJAX, JSON, JQuery
