ROCKVILLE, MD — CNSI, a fast growing, innovative provider of IT business solutions for government and commercial enterprises, today announced that it has been selected by Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), as a subcontractor, for the U.S. Census Bureau Field Data Collection Automation (FDCA) program. CNSI is to provide engineering services and technical support for local and regional offices as part of the five-year, $600 million FDCA program that was awarded to Harris in March. The FDCA program fully integrates and automates the systems that efficiently and securely obtain census field data during the 2010 Census. “The 2010 FDCA program represents a significant technological improvement to one of the country’s most critical administrative tasks. The U.S. Census requires skilled onsite IT support to ensure office automation systems and handheld devices have high availability to Census, ” said Reet Singh, COO, Information System Services. “CNSI is honored to continue its involvement in the U.S. Census following our support in the previous 2000 Census–the nation’s most accurate and advanced census in history.
