CNSI Awarded $33.6M Contract from U.S. Department of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration

ROCKVILLE, MD — CNSI, a fast-growing provider of innovative IT business solutions for government and commercial enterprises, today announced a new contract from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Valued at $33.6 million, the contract is for one year with four option years. CNSI will provide IT systems support services, including maintenance and development of software systems, e-Government systems support, and helpdesk support.

Valued at $33.6 million, the contract is for one year with four option years. CNSI will provide IT systems support services, including maintenance and development of software systems, e-Government systems support, and helpdesk support. CNSI will maintain database, data warehouse and other IT systems, including the MSHA Standardized Information System (MSIS), which is the administration’s centralized, enterprise management information system.

Created in 1978, MSHA’s mission is to administer the provisions of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 and to enforce compliance with mandatory safety and health standards as a means to eliminate fatal and nonfatal accidents and to promote improved safety and health conditions in the Nation’s mines. “Given the importance of MSHA’s mandate of protecting the lives of nearly 325, 000 miners, CNSI is proud to support and work with MSHA, ” said CNSI President B.
