  • Responsible for design, development and implementation of enterprise applications using JEE technologies
  • Responsible for designing and developing enhancements for an existing enterprise application that is live;
  • Responsible for evaluating change requests and new feature sets for the application, and determining the best fit solutions;
  • Responsible for coordinating/resolving performance issues and long term enhancements in the application;
  • Responsible for Application Security architecture and reviewing changes going into production for any possible security vulnerabilities;
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure the code written complies with the company standards and policies;
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with Functional/Technical Leads to understand the requirements and work out a design; 
  • Responsible for developing a product road-map with changes in legislation/future requirements;
  • Responsible for reviewing/assessing solutions recommended by module teams for different enhancements and keeping them in-line with long term product strategy; 

Required Skill

Primary Skills

  1. Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience;
  2. Experience in healthcare domain, preferably in a payer setting and exposure to Eligibility and Enrollment
  3. 6 to 8 years of full-time experience  in progressively responsible roles in a technical field, focusing on frameworks and architecture;
  4. Must have 4-5 plus years of object oriented programming; J2EE, Java Servlets, JSP, JSP Tags, EJB, JMS, Web Services and Java design patterns;
  5. Proficiency in building web and enterprise applications using Java EE, Web Services, Java Servlets, JSP, Junit, HTML5 and JQuery
  6. Experience with frameworks such as Spring, MVC, and ORM products such as Hibernate
  7. Intimate familiarity with the service oriented architectures;
  8. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and clearly convey the architectural design to the development teams to facilitate the implementation of System implementation/Operations;
  9. Ability to communicate effectively with the design teams, the functional teams, infrastructure teams, project management, and the customer at all levels to ensure that the architecture meets current and future needs for the a MMIS System;
  10. Good knowledge about different enterprise operating systems and operational experience with at least Solaris/Unix based environment;
  11. Experience with integrating different COTS products under a single Application umbrella and architecting solutions that are in-sync with an existing application framework;
  12. Agile/Iterative development experience;
